Their beauty is obvious, and actually, instinctual. We instinctually sense that we are looking at a miniature miracle when we come into contact with a seed- the entire life of a plant held in suspension in a tiny time capsule.

Their importance to our lives can not be overstated. Everything we eat begins with a seed.

We are in a collective crisis with our relationship with seeds and the natural world. The growing of seeds is falling to fewer and fewer hands. What once belonged to and was cared for by everyone is now controlled by only a few corporations. We are losing genetic diversity and practical knowledge.

The mission of this project is to showcase the beauty of these miniature miracles and to inspire you to pay more attention to the role that seeds play in your life, and perhaps even add your hands to the stewarding of their preciousness.
